About
I’m Heather. I’m a senior at Princeton University, studying French, Politics and Translation and Intercultural Communication. But I spend most of my time in the kitchen. This blog brings me back to earlier days, to five-years-old and making concoctions with grated chocolate curls, to putting together gingerbread houses at ten-years-old with my uncle’s professional icing tips, to 16-years-old in my kitchen in San Francisco making chocolate cupcakes filled with ganache with my best friend. Over the months since it began, this blog has evolved into a way for me to explore new places and ingredients and a way to explore what it means to be a local and sustainable eater, and baker. Thank you so much for reading, whether you’re family or someone I have never met!
You can check out some of my other work at Civil Eats and Poor Taste San Francisco. You can also check out my street-food and market photography in Athens and Barcelona at Culinary Backstreets.
